🕋 Complete 5-Day Hajj Journey with Masla-Masael Guidance | Classic 40 Days Hajj Package 2026 from Bangladesh – Book Now!

🕋 5 Days of Hajj – Detailed Guide with Masail (Islamic Rulings)

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and an obligatory act for every Muslim who has the means. The rituals of Hajj span five days from 8th to 12th Dhul-Hijjah, each day involving specific acts of worship and rites. Below is a complete day-by-day guide including important Masail (rulings) regarding Mina, Arafah, Muzdalifah, and the Jamaraat.

📅 Day 1 – 8th Dhul-Hijjah (Yawm at-Tarwiyah) – Mina

📝 What to Do:

  • Put on Ihram and make niyyah (intention) for Hajj.

  • Leave Makkah for Mina after Fajr.

  • Perform Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr (next day) in Mina (shortened but prayed at their respective times).

  • Engage in Dua, Tasbeeh, Tilawah, and Istighfar.

⚖️ Masail (Rulings):

  • Ihram for Hajj must be worn before leaving Makkah.

  • Salah is shortened (Qasr) but not combined.

  • Staying in Mina on the 8th is Sunnah Muakkadah.

📅 Day 2 – 9th Dhul-Hijjah (Yawm Arafah) – Arafah & Muzdalifah

📝 What to Do:

  • After Fajr in Mina, proceed to Arafah.

  • Attend the Khutbah and perform Dhuhr and Asr combined (Jama’ and Qasr).

  • Perform Wuquf (standing in prayer and reflection) from Zawal until sunset.

  • After sunset, leave without praying Maghrib — head straight to Muzdalifah.

  • In Muzdalifah, pray Maghrib + Isha combined, stay overnight.

⚖️ Masail (Rulings):

  • Wuquf at Arafah is Fardh (essential pillar). Missing it invalidates Hajj.

  • Dua and Dhikr during Wuquf are highly recommended.

  • Maghrib is not prayed at Arafah — it's combined with Isha in Muzdalifah.

  • Women, elderly, and sick may leave Muzdalifah after midnight.

📅 Day 3 – 10th Dhul-Hijjah (Yawm an-Nahr) – Mina, Jamaraat, Qurbani

📝 What to Do:

  • After Fajr in Muzdalifah, collect 70 pebbles (for 3 days of Rami).

  • Return to Mina and perform Rami of Jamarat al-Aqaba (largest pillar) — throw 7 stones.

  • Perform Qurbani (sacrifice).

  • Shave (Halq) or trim (Taqsir) your hair.

  • Remove Ihram.

  • Go to Makkah for Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa’i (if not done earlier).

⚖️ Masail (Rulings):

  • Rami is Wajib — must be done after sunrise.

  • Qurbani is Wajib for Tamattu' and Qiran pilgrims.

  • Shaving is more virtuous than trimming.

  • Tawaf Ifadah is Fardh, can be delayed but must be done before leaving Makkah.

📅 Day 4 – 11th Dhul-Hijjah – Rami of Three Jamaraat

📝 What to Do:

  • Stay in Mina.

  • Perform Rami of all three Jamaraat after Zawal (midday):

    1. Jamarat al-Sughra (small)

    2. Jamarat al-Wusta (middle)

    3. Jamarat al-Kubra (big)

  • Throw 7 pebbles at each Jamara in the correct order.

  • Make Dua after Sughra and Wusta.

⚖️ Masail (Rulings):

  • Rami before Zawal is invalid.

  • Dua after Sughra and Wusta is Sunnah; not after Kubra.

  • Must use separate pebbles for each Jamara.

📅 Day 5 – 12th Dhul-Hijjah – Last Rami or Stay for 13th

📝 What to Do:

  • Repeat Rami of all three Jamaraat after Zawal.

  • If leaving Mina, do so before Maghrib — this is called Nafr Awwal.

  • Optionally stay for 13th Dhul-Hijjah for extra Rami (Nafr Thani).

⚖️ Masail (Rulings):

  • Leaving after Maghrib requires staying till 13th and performing Rami again.

  • Stoning all three Jamaraat is Wajib each day.

  • Rami must be done personally unless genuinely unable, then a representative may throw.
